Beginning next Thursday, December 21, 2023, METRO bus routes will change significantly to better serve our community's needs!
Key Service Changes include:
New Routes: Rts. 1, 2, 3, and 73 will replace Rts. 10, 66, 68, 69A, 69W, & 71
Route Highlights:
Route 1 – Soquel/Cabrillo/Airport: Follows the route of discontinued Routes 69A (to Watsonville) & 71 (to Cabrillo College).
Route 2: Mainly follows the route of discontinued Route 69W with some segments from Route 71.
Route 3A/3B – UCSC/Capitola Mall/Live Oak: Combines segments of Live Oak routes 66 and 68 with former UCSC Route 10.
Route 73 – Soquel/Freedom/Cabrillo: Service along Freedom Blvd and Soquel Drive, replacing Route 71 between Freedom Blvd/Airport Blvd and Soquel Dr.
New Route 90X – Watsonville – Santa Cruz Express Service: Express service between Watsonville and Santa Cruz, mainly on Highway 1.
Winter service starts December 21, 2023 and ends March 13, 2024
