I hope this message finds you and your loved ones well. Unfortunately, we are still in the midst of the Storm.
My office continues working closely with State Agencies, County Staff, and community stakeholders to coordinate service delivery needs and deliver regular updates to the community. We will continue to share important updates as they are received.
Updated Information (As of Today, January 4th):
Emergency Operations Center (EOC):
- The County's EOC was activated to support County Operations, sheltering, and disaster services in Santa Cruz County.
- The call center is open and can be reached at (831) 454-2285.
Shelters:
- (Mid-County) Live Oak Elementary School (Open - 1916 Capitola Rd, Santa Cruz)
- (City of Santa Cruz) Civic Auditorium (Open - 307 Church St, Santa Cruz)
- (South County) Cesar Chavez Middle School is open. (Open - 440 Arthur Rd)
Sand Distribution Centers in Santa Cruz County:
- All locations previously shared have been resupplied with Sand. Please call ahead to determine if Sandbags are available at your nearest Sand Distribution center. Note; a new distribution center has been added at the Aptos Branch Library (7695 Soquel Dr.)
