Join me at this month's townhall where I will conduct a review of Santa Cruz County's 2024-2025 Budget. Special guest Assistant County Administrative Officer, Nicole Coburn, will give a presentation on the budget and answer your questions.

Enjoy Earth Day festivities this weekend with our community!

Earth Day Santa Cruz, the annual event dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship is set to return on Saturday, April 20th in Downtown Santa Cruz on Pacific Avenue, Cooper Street, and Abbott Square Market. The event will run from 11:30 AM to 4 PM.

This year’s event promises to be an unforgettable celebration featuring a lineup of entertainers and activities for all to enjoy. Attendees can look forward to:

Face Painting by Brenda’s Face Painting
Singalong for babies, performances by Joya Winwood (Mothersong) at 12 PM, 1 PM and 2 PM.
Samba Stilt Walkers from Emotiv Dance

Upcoming Road Work

Hwy 17 - On Monday, April 22nd maintenance crews will be performing emergency repairs to the guardrail in the median on Hwy. 17 near Scotts Valley. Travelers in both directions of Hwy. 17 near Crescent Drive will encounter a closure of the #1 (left) lane from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

Travelers can expect delays of up to 15 minutes. Message and directional signs will be in place to alert travelers.

Tuesday, April 30th - Board of Supervisors Meeting starting at 9:00 AM. The agenda is pending. The meeting will be held via Zoom and in person at the Board Chambers at 701 Ocean Street, Rm 525.

Wednesday, May 1st - Office Hours from 1 PM to 3 PM. Come visit me at the 1st District Office in Live Oak at the Sheriff's Center, 5200 Soquel Ave, ground floor. Bring your questions and we will meet one-on-one. First come, first served.
